Sitting in the backyard watching the birds. Another mild day for the second day of winter, but it doesn’t feel as sun-warmed as yesterday did.
I just started back bird-watching this fall, after a gap of probably four decades. Yep, the last time, I wasn’t even a teenager yet.
It’s easy to get lost bird-watching, to lose track of time. Birds come, birds go, same birds, different birds, on and on. Lots will be around, then they fly away in groups or singly, until I notice there are none.
